A new forum on decent work was concluded on Tuesday, 28. December. 2021 in Amman for 22 young men and women from different governorates. The forum was held over two days, and focused on the concept of decent work, its elements, and decent work in the Jordanian Labor Law. It also focused on women’s rights in decent work according to Jordanian and international legislations in addition to talking about decent work as one of the Sustainable Development Goals. Environmental planning and facilitative arrangements for persons with disabilities were addressed in the forum. Moreover, an introduction to convention No.190 on the elimination of harassment and violence in the work environment was made.
A group of the Decent Work Ambassadors members facilitated the whole forum.
This workshop is a part of the third-year activities for the Decent Work Academy project implemented by East and West Center for Sustainable Development and in partnership with the Swedish Partner for Development (IM).
